Ilona Németh
The artist Ilona Németh and her biggest solo exhibition to date documenting the history of the sugar industry.
Ilona Németh presented an exhibition entitled Eastern Sugar in the Kunsthalle. It is a complex documentary and an interactive map of the history and slow decay of the sugar industry in Slovakia. She collaborated with several artists and experts on the project. Cukru production was happy to accept the invitation to oversee the audiovisual output at the exhibition. We documented the grounds of the sugar factories in Pohronský Ruskov and Sereď and conducted interviews with their former directors.
